New research from the University of Ottawa says dark matter shouldn't exist at all. There are already many indirect indications of the existence of dark matter, such as galactic rotation curves and gravitational lensing. Of all the matter in the universe, about 85% is dark matter and the remaining 15% is regular matter. But Rajendra Gupta from the aforementioned university thinks completely differently about this matter. According to his calculations, dark matter should not exist at all, provided the CCC+TL model of the universe is used. We've discussed Gupta and his ideas here before and they are very different from current models of the universe, especially from the current ΛCDM model, which assumes the existence of dark energy (Λ) and cold dark matter (CDM). The foundation of Gupta is two ideas: idea Variable coupling constants (CCC) and “tired light” (TL), combined in the CCC+TL model. Both ideas are actually old. CCC is a sophisticated theory of “coupling constants”, once proposed by Paul Dirac (not to be confused with Roger Penrose's CCC theory). These are fundamental constants of nature that govern interactions between elementary particles and may change over time. The “tired light” theory was first proposed by Fritz Zwicky in 1929. The theory states that the redshift of light from distant galaxies is not due to the expansion of the universe, but due to the gradual loss of energy of photons, particles of light.
Based on these ancient hypotheses, Gupta previously came to the conclusion that the universe is not 13.8 billion years old, but twice as old, 26.7 billion years to be exact. Now he has made new calculations using data from baryonic acoustic oscillations (BAOs), and it appears that dark matter is not necessary at all. Over time, the forces of nature through the CCC will diminish, affecting the distribution of galaxies and the angular size in the cosmic microwave background radiation, making it It seems As if dark matter exists. As I said before: Gupta, with his ideas, is a kind of voice crying in the desert, and I expect the necessary criticism for that, especially Because many TL models have already been counterfeited.
