PropertyDespite “royal protocol” not to show affection in public, Prince William, 40, and Kate Middleton, 40, have shown their most loving side. The prince took part in a charity polo match on Wednesday, although he distinguished himself mainly off the field: British media picked up the impatient touches between him and his wife.
In times when members of the British royal family have shown general affection in a plein, you can almost count on one hand. That’s why photos of William and Kate embracing closely during the 2012 London Olympics caused such a stir. “The Duke and Duchess may only be photographed in professional circumstances. It is inappropriate to tangle, let alone hug each other.” But over the years, William and Kate seemed to care less about this rule.
They also made no secret of their love for each other on Wednesday. A kiss on the cheek, a warm hug, and an arm around each other: William and Kate clearly enjoyed the event. The media quickly picked up on the moments of love and were praised by fans of the royal family, especially since Wednesday was also International Kissing Day.

Kensington Palace has announced that it is raising funds for ten charities that support William and his wife through a polo match. The match was played at the Jardis Polo Club in Windsor. Prince Philip, William’s grandfather, was the president of the Guard Polo Club from the association’s founding on January 25, 1955 until his death in April of last year. Queen Elizabeth is the sponsor of the organization.
