Do you have a single Instagram photo or video that you want everyone to see? Instagram now lets you pin posts to your profile. We show you how.
Instagram advertised the job early JuneAfter that, it was slowly rolled out to iOS and Android users. The post has now also reached the editors of TechPulse. This feature allows you to pin regular photos and videos as well as reels to the top of your profile. Once pinned, it will appear at the top of your most recently published posts with a pin indicating that the posts are pinned. This makes it comparable to the pin functionality that we know from platforms like Facebook or Twitter.
This is how you pin a post to your Instagram profile
Don’t confuse the feature with story highlights. Pinning Instagram story to your profile was already possible before; For this you need to create a distinction that ends right below your resume. This time, we’re just looking at how to pin posts, like a regular photo or Reel, to your profile via the iOS or Android app. Have you already opened the Instagram app? Then we will start.
- Open your Instagram profile by clicking on your at the bottom right personal picture to click
- Choose it message You want to install and click on it
- Click the three dots in the upper right and select Install in your profile
Want to unpin the message from your Instagram profile at a later time? Then follow the above steps again and select Step 3 Disconnect from profile† In this way, the message will be separated from your profile. Don’t worry though: the message will of course be saved to your profile; It will only then return to its place in chronological order of your posts.
