It was clearly the intention that Intel wouldn’t release its new generation Meteor Lake CPU until mid-December, but two German online stores have inadvertently put laptops equipped with Intel’s new laptop processors online.
Bohr and Otto early sales begin
Bor And OttoBoth belong to the Otto group, and have already launched laptops with Intel’s next-generation Meteor Lake processors. The laptops come from Acer and use Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or Core Ultra 5 125H. However, both online stores have already removed the laptops from their websites.
Violation of Intel’s official sales launch
Both stores did not commit to starting official Intel sales on December 14. However, interested parties should not expect delivery to occur quickly. Burr indicates that availability will not be before the end of February, while Otto currently indicates that delivery will take place in March. It is expected that laptops from other manufacturers will not be available in Germany until early 2024. However, after this leak, it is not clear when laptops with the new Intel mobile processors will be available in the Netherlands or Belgium.

Confirm basic configurations
Bohr and Otto emphasized the naming system on the one hand and the first basic configurations on the other. With the Core Ultra 7 155H, Intel activates all the CPU cores: eight performance cores, six efficiency cores, and two new power-saving cores in the SoC. The latter performs basic tasks, so that the computing units in the discrete computing chip have to wake up less often and thus save energy. Intel’s new laptop processors are optimized for maximum performance and power efficiency
Specifications and availability
The Core Ultra 5 125H uses 14 CPU cores and may have two performance cores and part of the L3 cache disabled. No information was provided about the chip’s other components, such as the integrated graphics unit and AI accelerator.
Common features of both configurations
Both laptop configurations use the same design with a 14-inch OLED display (2880 x 1800 pixels). They also have two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A (5Gb/s, formerly known as USB 3.0), HDMI, DisplayPort, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack.
Price differences and specifications
The version with Core Ultra 7 155H, 1TB SSD, 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and Windows 11 Home is available for €1,249 in Germany. If you choose the Core Ultra 5 125H with half the memory (512GB SSD, 16GB RAM), you’ll save €250.
finally
As mentioned, it is not yet known when the laptops with the new Intel mobile processors will be available in the Netherlands or Belgium. You might expect that to be from December 14 as well, but even that has not been officially confirmed by Intel. So this will just be a matter of waiting and following the news.
