iPad mini gets a new release: Here’s when

Looks like there’s a really new iPad mini coming. Ming-Chi Kuo confirms this in a number of new messages on Twitter. Earlier there were still big question marks about the device.

iPad mini is Apple’s own gadget. In terms of size, it falls between the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the regular iPad. Precisely because of its size, the question was whether new copy It will come, but now trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo comes up with a definite answer.

A new iPad mini is coming

In three tweets, Kuo reveals his information about the new iPad mini. “I don’t think Apple will replace the iPad mini with a foldable one in 2025 as some media had previously predicted. The price of this tablet should be much higher than that of the mini tablet. So such a replacement is unreasonable.

Secondly, Apple is currently developing a new iPad mini with a new processor. It is expected to ship by the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.”

A logical decision from Apple

So Kuo is clear, the iPad mini is coming and his claims make sense. The tablet is in a very different price range than the foldable variant. You can see it in the phone market, where foldable devices are much more expensive than “normal” smartphones.

The latest iPad mini will be released in September 2021. The entry-level 64GB model was then at a suggested retail price of €559. The foldable version really can’t match that.

Unfortunately, Kuo did not reveal any other details. So we just know that the mini is going to get a new chip, which makes perfect sense. What kind of screen, for example, what is the battery life, remains a big question mark.
