Italian fashion designer Nino Cerruti has passed away. This was reported by Italian media, Saturday, and confirmed by a source in the fashion sector to Agence France-Presse. Cerruti was 91 years old. He founded his own fashion house in Paris in 1967. According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, he died in a hospital in Vercelli in the northwestern Italian region of Piedmont, where he was admitted for hip surgery.
“He is no longer one of the most important Italian entrepreneurs,” said Italian Economic Development Minister Gilberto Piccito in response. Nino Cerruti was born in Biella on September 25, 1930.
