Warning spoilers! The bubble has burst for Soaperstar. “I thought I was going to die in that suit, I couldn’t breathe,” she said from under the pump. “But most of all I had fun and found myself again!”
“Happier than ever,” Soaperstar felt while performing this famous Billie Eilish song. Despite this fun, her performance was not enough to survive. After a duel against Leeuw, with whom she performed a powerful version of P! nk, the race ended in Soaperstar’s favour.
TV presenter and creator Kat Kerkhovs slipped off that big package of soap. “It’s the first show I really focused on after maternity leave. As a new mom, you lose a little bit of yourself… Soaperstar is a real diva and the show is totally disconnected from my life as a young mom, so I was able to find that part of myself again.”
“Dries was the only person who knew I was involved,” Kerkhoffs says. “At first I was a little shy and suspicious, but he knew I would love it. That’s why he thought I had to do it.”
“In previous seasons the detectives always reminded me, not this season at all! I really like that. That’s really the point of the show,” Kerkhovs continues. “In my environment, I’m really that annoying person who uses the karaoke machine all the time. I have a karaoke machine in Istanbul, Naples, and Leuven. Do I aspire to a singing career? Not right away. I’ll stick to my karaoke machines!”
“Friendly communicator. Music trailblazer. Internet maven. Twitter buff. Social mediaholic.”
