Burnley want more atmosphere at home matches at Turf Moor
In an eye-catching email to season ticket holders, Burnley, coached by compatriot Vincent Kompany, asked fans to make recommendations to improve the atmosphere at Turf Moor during home matches.
Kompany promptly led the Clarets to the Championship title last season and associated promotion to the Premier League, with the team, predictably, facing a more difficult time this season. With four points from eight matches, Burnley is only third. The team was only able to win once this season, away to Luton Town. A point was gained on a visit to Nottingham Forest. The home team’s fans lost the same number of times in five matches.
“At the end of last season, Vincent Kompany called for Turf Moor to be transformed into a fortress. However, we believe that most fans also feel that the atmosphere this season is rather chilly. That’s why we’re coming to you to hear how we can improve the atmosphere in the stadium on match days. We look forward to hearing your suggestions.” “We need to make sure the team hears and feels our support for 90 minutes. Let’s bring back the hype!”
