Basketball player Jean-Marc Mwema was supposed to return next week for the first final week of the world’s smartest person, but due to scheduling issues, he can’t be there.
Jean-Marc Mwema (32) took seventh place in the final regular weeks standings of the De smartest men in the world with four entries, two of which were victories. Good for getting a place in recent weeks, but still missing. “Because of scheduling issues,” Eric Van Lowe said Thursday at the end of the broadcast. As a player for the Antwerp Giants, he does not make registrations due to match commitments.
This immediately means that a place will be made available in the first week of the finals and that will go to the 10th-ranked YouTube phenomenon, Acid. Other returnees in the final next eight episodes are hockey player Alexander Hendricks, Geert Mayvrot, virologist Stephen van Guchte, Dutch smartest person Arjen Lubach, director Anthony Nti, journalist Lisbeth Embo, radio presenter Gloria Monseries and singer Merol.
Many candidates have already withdrawn this season from the testing program, but usually because of Corona. Just prior to the recordings, Eddie Blankart was in a very high-risk connection and actor Tom Vermeer was also absent earlier. Quizmaster Erik Van Looy himself became injured and had to be given a temporary absence. It was replaced by two radio programs, Bart Kanerts.
