Craig Wright is the man who has claimed for years that he is none other than Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin (BTC).
However, the Australian never proved this and sued anyone who questioned his claims. At some point, a group of Bitcoin developers had enough and filed a lawsuit against him.
The trial is now drawing to a close and the judge was able to reach a quick conclusion because “the evidence was overwhelming.”

The judge immediately issues a ruling against Craig Wright
The judge concluded that Craig Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto and that he did not write the Bitcoin whitepaper.
Wright was sued by the Cryptocurrency Open Patents Alliance (COPA), a group made up of Bitcoin developers and Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.
COPA members believed Wright should be suspended because his lawsuits were causing problems for developers.
“Based on his untruthful claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto, he has filed lawsuits claiming to be entitled to hundreds of billions of dollars, including against numerous individuals.” The COPA lawyer said.
They were fed up and said Wright was waging a “widespread campaign of dishonesty and fraud” against the industry. Wright was also charged with falsifying documents in the case. Wright was convicted of this in a previous trial.
Wright is neither Satoshi Nakomoto nor the creator of Bitcoin
The judge has not yet issued a written ruling, but was able to reach a conclusion quickly because the evidence was overwhelming against Wright.
“I will make some statements which I am convinced are useful and necessary to achieve justice between the parties.
Firstly, Dr. Wright is not the author of the Bitcoin white paper. Secondly, D. Wright is not the person who adopted or used the alias Satoshi Nakamoto from 2008 to 2011.
Third D. Wright is not the person who created the Bitcoin system. Fourth, he is not the author of the first versions of the Bitcoin software. “Any further action will be dealt with in my written judgment,” Judge James Mellor said.
COPA is now demanding that Wright never again claim in any way to be Satoshi, but such a statement would be unprecedented. This means that he can never say he is Satoshi again without being fined and possibly even going to prison.
We must now wait and see what the judge will say in the written ruling, in which he will discuss all the evidence and charges in detail. It is still unclear when this will happen. An appeal also remains possible for Wright.
While the result will not come as a surprise to many, Wright fans will undoubtedly be disappointed. They continued to believe him for years. Bitcoin SV (BSV), so-called Solid fork Of Bitcoin, Wright's supporters view it as the real Bitcoin.
Following the outcome of the lawsuit, BSV's stock price declined rapidly. The price is down about 23% this week.
