De Pillecyn tells the story based on the song “Try” by American singer Colbie Caillat. In the video, she removes her makeup in front of the camera, so that she can confidently look into the lens without wearing an ounce of makeup.
“The lyrics are about the fact that it doesn't matter what other people think about you, as long as you think you're beautiful. That message is very close to me. That song actually says what I didn't do at the time, but what I think about now.”
De Pillecyn emotionally explains how she covered the song as a statement with her brother. “We put our version online and I received a lot of positive responses. That made me very happy.”
“As a K3, you are always cheerful,” she says, crying. “So I never said or showed how deep it was sometimes, even though the things that were written about me affected me greatly.” “I'm happy to share this with you.”
Singer Susan offers a comforting shoulder and compliments the K3 singer on her openness. “With the positive message you convey at K3 in your music and beyond, you can really do something beautiful for kids,” she answers.
