Karen Damen is trying to get the attention of popular used clothing site Vinted on Instagram. Sweater sale was looted. The singer asks, “What are you going to do about this?”
Damen shares two photos of the jacket in question on Instagram, with a message addressed to Vinted. “They just stole. He lost money and lost his coat. What are you going to do about it?”

Damen explains that it has long negotiated with the buyer in question the selling price of the Etro jacket. In the end I gave up and sent the cloak for what I thought was a very small amount. As a precaution, as always, she only did so after the money ended up in her account.
However, at Vinted, the buyer can always indicate a doubt about the authenticity of the piece (with branding or design elements) after which the money is withdrawn from the account and refunded. This is what happened to Karen Damen. So she lost her coat and her money. It hurts when you learn that the Etro coat quickly costs between 1000 and 2000 euros.
Several of Damen’s followers wrote in the post that they went through exactly the same thing. Some got their money back from Vinted, others were left empty-handed.
