High fidelity sound and performance

Comprised of a box with speakers, the LSX II provides space for music to breathe and evolve, creating three-dimensional sound. Each speaker uses KEF’s 11th generation Uni-Q driver set, designed specifically for this speaker. The signature technology acts as a point source, the tweeter is precisely positioned in the acoustic center of the tweeter, resulting in a natural sound reproduction. This design removes the traditional small dot and instead delivers a clean, accurate sound for all audio enthusiasts,” we read in the entry-level announcement.

The LSX II has a combined system power of 200 watts. The woofer and tweeter are powered by their own tweeter to deliver room-filling sound from the built-in cabinets. The KEF Connect app enables streaming Amazon Music, Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, Internet Radio and Podcasts. The native apps Spotify Connect, Tidal and QPlay can also be used directly for streaming. With Apple’s Airplay 2, Chromecast, or Roon, it’s possible to stream to multiple wireless speakers and sync music across the room. Audio enthusiasts will be amazed at the sound quality while offering expanded file support up to 24-bit/384kHz (PCM), DSD and full MQA rendering. This includes HDMI ARC for hassle-free control with a TV remote control and USB-C input, making the LSX II the perfect desktop sound system for PC. There are also connections for the DVD player, CD player and game console and for extra bass there is a special KEF subwoofer output.

The KEF Connect app guides audio enthusiasts through setup, system control, and on-the-fly navigation with intuitive audio settings, ensuring that the LSX II matches the room as accurately as possible. With Room EQ DSP, the LSX II can easily be set into any room. The “Normal” mode is designed to guide you through the process with simple questions. To facilitate the integration of the KEF amplifier with the LSX II, Room EQ includes amplifier presets for the best possible system performance. The LSX II comes with a host of other handy features, including audio settings, sensitivity adjustment and the ability to select a source to wake the system up when the source is turned on.

The aesthetic design of the LSX II was designed by Michael Young, one of the most famous designers in the field of industrial design. Known for its simple, polished approach, Young’s design boasts clever, clean aesthetics that perfectly match the requirements of the LSX II to deliver authentic, accurate sound.

The LSX II is available in five stunning finishes: Mineral White and Lava Red models have a matte satin and high-gloss finish. Carbon black and cobalt blue are upholstered in a custom-designed fabric by contemporary Danish textile designer Kvadrat. The Soundwave by Terence Conran Edition was one of the famous British designer’s last collaborations. In this version, a “soundwave” pattern is woven into the unique Kvadrat fabric, complemented by Conran’s signature blue on the speaker port and driver for a true statement.
