paneBy this spring, Plopsaland De Panne will transform Kaatjeszone into a venue around the Ketnet Channel for Children and Youth. The theme for the Viktors Race roller coaster will be in the form of the #LikeMe series and the Kaatje-seeking Duckling water attraction will be in the form of Tik Tak. “The idea of giving #LikeMe its own appeal, of course, has to do with the phenomenal success of this series. We are also aiming for a slightly larger audience,” CEO Steve van den Kerkhove catalysing an investment of €2.5 million. “I’ve already performed #LikeMe a few times during special weekends and now have a permanent spot in our garden. We enchant the youngest of them with boats around Tic Tac.”
Ketnet and Plopsaland have been working together for some time and this is now producing a stable area. The festive opening will take place on Thursday, May 26th. Van den Kerkhof confirms that Kaatje will still be present in the theme park. Only two new themes will be given for existing attractions.
Bomba
In addition, the theme park is investing in an inland area around Bomba, as announced earlier. This involves an investment of 12.5 million euros. In addition to the various attractions, there will also be a theater, restaurant and shop. The covered area is planned for Bomba Stadium. Opening for summer or fall 2023.
The theme park will be open on Wednesdays and weekends this month and next, and every day during spring break. It is open every day of the Easter holiday. Reservation remains mandatory and can be made www.plopsalanddepanne.be†
