We finally know who Charles Martinet’s successor will be.
After months of speculation, including an untrue rumor today, it has now been officially revealed who will provide Mario’s new voice. It is an honor for Kevin Afghani to take over from the well-known Charles Martinet after more than 25 years. Kevin Afghani announced the revelation on X, his former Twitter handle. Nintendo itself also confirmed the news. Al-Afghani wrote on X: “Incredibly proud to have voiced Mario and Luigi in Super Mario Bros. Miracle. Thank you to Nintendo for inviting me to the Flower Kingdom!
So far, Nintendo hasn’t been talking about a successor to Charles Martinet. Until recently, the company said that Mario’s new voice would be revealed through the credits of Super Mario Bros. miracle. This game will be the first Mario game to feature the voice of Kevin Afghan. Super Mario Bros. Wonder is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 20.
