In January 2025, a brand new holiday park will open in Viversel (Heusden-Zolder). Joelle Vandebroucke and Dries Ness are investing several million in the project, which will include 16 holiday homes in the first phase. About two years later, another 28 homes were added, as well as a new brasserie and health areas.
A few months ago, the couple Zolder Joëlle Vandebroek and Dries Nys presented their project Woodz Lodges. The first 16 houses are mainly aimed at large groups or families of 6-8 people, and offer 88 sleeping places. Saunas and hot tubs are also available. “Our focus is to provide peace and relaxation in beautiful natural surroundings,” says owner Dries Nys. “The construction of these houses among the trees has now begun and they are expected to be completed in January 2025. In the best case scenario, we can already accommodate visitors to the European Cycling Championships in September next year.”
The expansion of the holiday park has already been announced long before the official opening. “We are continuing on the path of sustainability and adding some innovations that take the entire project to a higher level,” Ness continues. The second phase includes 28 new holiday homes, with a capacity of 90 beds and therefore suitable for small families or couples. There will also be 6 to 8 health homes, in addition to 3 from the first phase.
“We are also building a brand new brasserie with a reception area and additional parking. We are adding special play elements for children throughout the 3-hectare site, such as a forest path and a toddler path. And, of course, everything is made from sustainable materials.
