For exampleIn addition to being an actress and writer, Leen Dendievel (39) can now call herself a radio presenter. Starting next week, she’ll be leading the evening show on Joe in the right direction with DJ Jan Bosman. To be clear, this is a temporary job. Lin was completely surprised when they asked her. “At first I refused,” the actress tells us.
“My spring has been very busy and the autumn schedule is also packed, so I was planning on really taking a vacation. But yeah, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. So I called Jan Bosman, with whom I’d be doing the evening show, and said yes to his proposal. (He laughs) I don’t know the radio operator personally, but I’ve spoken to him on the phone several times to interview Joe. And when our cat died, Jan gave me amazing support. He himself has animals and he realized this love creates a bond.”
I’m a bit like Pippi Longstocking: I’ve never done that, so I think I can do it
For the actress, this is her first time appearing on the radio, but it wasn’t on her wish list. “I find it a great workout in which I can find out if it works for me or not. I love taking new experiences and I love taking challenges. I’m a bit like Pippi Longstocking: I’ve never done it before, so I think I can do it.”
Therefore, Lynn allows everything to come to her. “I’m going to learn a lot and look especially at the back end of the radio industry, how the preparations are done, the tricks of the trade. I’m diligent. I’m going to make mistakes anyway.” (He laughs) Will I secretly put pictures of my husband Udo on my playlist? “I suppose they ran enough with my husband Joe. But of course I can get one pass every day.”

Her job with Jo is only temporary, because on August 18 her “vacation work” ends. However, Lin does not rule out that she will be behind the radio microphone more often in the future. “It’s an experiment and we’ll see what it brings. I’m an actress first and foremost and I want to keep it that way. In the first two weeks of September I’m going to present my last series of comedy revues ‘Frank becomes Francine’ at the Fakkeltheater in Antwerp. Then we’ll be over eighty. In the meantime I’m rehearsing the tragic piece ‘Behind the Scenes’ with Kari Goossens, among others, which will premiere in November. And at the end of October my fifth book will be published. And no, I haven’t given anything yet. (winks)“
