Today, foldable technology is farther than it was at the beginning of 2020. Samsung’s foldable smartphones are already in the works Their fourth generation It no longer resembles the flagship model at all. ASUS also appeared at CES 2022 His first foldable laptop model. So it’s time for Lenovo to dust off the Thinkpad X1 Fold once again.

Bigger screen, slimmer body

Lenovo has listened to customer feedback to improve the design of the Thinkpad X1 Fold. The screen has been enlarged by 22 percent to 16.3 inches and the chassis is 25 percent lighter to improve portability. This makes the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Fold the lightest 16-inch laptop you can find right now. The laptop is only 8.6mm thick when opened and only 17.4mm when folded.

The durability of the screen was also considered. More than two hundred parts move simultaneously within the hinge design, and a new display interface folds the inactive part of the screen.

ultimate craftsmanship

If you fold the screen, you still have a 12-inch screen available. Almost the same size as the original Thinkpad X1 Fold when it was unveiled. Here you can choose to use the bottom of the screen as a keyboard, or attach a physical keyboard magnetically.

The laptop has three USB-C ports, two of which are Intel Thunderbolt 4, which are positioned in such a way that two ports are always accessible in every corner you can carry your laptop in. The same logic extends to the placement of the three Dolby Atmos speakers and two Dolby Atmos microphones. Despite having only one camera, Intel VSC software adjusts the camera angle so you always have a horizontal field of view of 75 degrees.

Computing power is provided by Intel iCore i5 or i7 processors along with an Intel Iris Xe graphics card. You get a maximum of 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. By default, the Thinkpad X1 Fold with Windows 11 Home or Pro comes out of the box.
