Had to press the pause button. Lisa Vaelin announced today that she must pass the Gymnastics World Cup Finals, one of the most important deadlines to qualify for the Games. “I didn't want to accept it at first,” she shares with Sporza. “But when I was in the emergency room, I realized my body needed more rest.”

Big hit to Lisa Vaelin's account.

The 19-year-old gymnast – who specializes in vaulting – is forced to be sidelined due to underlying ailments in her body.

“After having glandular fever in September and October, I was still suffering from infections, which meant my training wasn’t going as well as I wanted,” she tells her story.

Faileen continued to have a fever, and doctors have yet to find any explanation for this phenomenon. “I always got the necessary rest, but I always felt that my body needed more,” shares our compatriot.

“At first I didn't want to accept it, but the realization came that I hit the pause button when I was in the emergency room a few weeks ago.”
