Logitech G introduced a number of new gaming accessories under the Aurora name. What’s special, according to the Logitech subsidiary, is that the range is designed “to be gender inclusive, not gender specific.” The Aurora Collection focuses on the needs and desires of female gamers, while also appealing to all gamers looking for a fun design.
In addition to two keyboards (G715 and G713), a gaming headset (G735) and a wireless mouse (G705), the set also includes eight accessories to add a fun touch to existing hardware. Think cloud-shaped palm rest and heart-shaped storage box, but also colorful mouse pads, interchangeable ear pads, and top plates for new keyboards.
Longer hair, smaller hands
The Aurora kit was designed based on feedback from female gamers and, the manufacturer claims, was revived by the mostly female Logitech G team. All this to satisfy the wants and needs of an underrepresented segment of the players.
For example, in the design phase, the team considered things like: longer hair, glasses, earrings, and smaller hands. To address accessibility, the team deviated from the typical sharp edges and ways of blacking colors. Soft tones, sheer materials and soothing lighting predominate in Aurora accessories. Finally, extra attention was paid to fun. The products come in a basic White Mist color, but they have the option to customize them with Pink Dawn and Green Flash accessories or with special lighting effects.
One mindset fits all
Much of the gaming industry has stuck to a one-size-fits-all mindset. “When we looked at our gaming products, we realized we could do more,” said Ojesh Desai, Vice President and General Manager, Logitech G. With Aurora, we’ve created an inclusive, unisex collection focused on comfort, accessibility and fun..it supports our long-standing promise to bring the joy of play to everyone.”
Of course, the range is also equipped with the typical features of other Logitech G hardware, such as Lightspeed wireless technology and Blue Vo microphone technology! ce.
The suggested retail price of the Logitech G735 headphones is €229.99. For G715 and G713 gaming consoles, you pay 199.99 and 169.99 euros, respectively. Finally, the Logitech G705 gaming mouse changes for €99.99.
