League 1 Uber Eats
Racing Lens is on its way to get a ticket to the UEFA Champions League. Thanks to two goals from Loïs Openda, the Red Lantern Angers were quickly put aside: 3-0. Lens is currently jumping over Marseille to take second place.
What a season Loïs Openda has been having with Lens in Ligue 1. The Belgian striker scored a hat-trick last week and the Red Devils were also good at shooting on Saturday. National team coach Domenico Tedesco will be glad to see her.
With his 13th goal (cutting and scoring) and 14th (after the counter-kick) this season, he secured the victory for Lens, after the opening goal of captain Linz Fofana. Openda is the first Lens player to score 14 Ligue 1 goals this century.
With the new victory, Lens jumps into second place for the time being. He is on his way to get a ticket to the Champions League. This would be only the third time in the club’s history. In 1998-1999 and 2002-2003, Lens was killed in the group stage of the CL.
