Another serious injury that was not the result of contact. Belgian Ajax talent Mika Godts (18 years old) injured herself last night in the match between FC Den Bosch and Jong Ajax. The Leuven resident had to leave the stadium on a stretcher.
Mika Godts has been knocking on the door of Ajax 1 more and more in recent months. The Leuven native sometimes sits on the bench, but shares most of the minutes with Young Ajax. This is the promising team of the Amsterdam team that plays in the second division.
Godets is an important player in the team. Against FC Den Bosch he scored the final score 3-3 from a penalty kick. But a few minutes later, things went very wrong on the artificial turf in Den Bosch. Godts wanted to keep the ball, but it got stuck in the grass.
The young Belgian’s knee made a strange movement that did not suggest anything good. Godets was carried from the field on a stretcher. The severity of the injury remains to be determined.
