Stage after stage

A painful home loss for Masek

“Normally, Macek should always be able to beat Prague at home,” sporting director Jelte Mann said before the match. But it was a quiet evening for the Limberger family.

Just like in competition, Maaseik players were looking for mechanics. Prague took full advantage of this. The first set started well for the home team, but in the final stretch the Czechs took over on their way to a 22-25 win.

Group 2 was the most interesting group. This time Prague seemed to have lost its lead. He just held on and won 24-26.

In the third set, it seemed like things had finally turned around for Masek. Until things got worse again at 12-7. The score was soon 14-18, a blow from which Masek was unable to recover. Final score: 22-25.

We were close with every set, but we never finished. We played better than in previous matches, but Prague were good. However, this is not the ideal start.

Jolan Cox: “Not an ideal start”

We have fought and recovered a lot. It might be strange after 0-3, but I’m still satisfied. We are growing.
