The Philips 16B1P3302D is available immediately and has a suggested retail price of €279 including VAT.
Under the name Philips 16B1P3302D, MMD has launched a new 16-inch portable monitor. The slim and compact screen does not support touch functions and has Full HD (75 Hz) resolution. MMD adopts the traditional 16:9 screen ratio which is convenient for media consumption. Lately business devices are moving towards 16:10 or even 3:2 to get more room in height for more productive work.
The Philips 16B1P3302D has two USB-C ports. One of them supplies power to the monitor, and the second serves to connect peripheral devices. If you connect a laptop that only has one USB-C connection, you can use the second on the monitor to connect the power cable to supply power to the monitor and laptop. There is also space for a jack socket to connect headphones.
The portable monitor can handle up to 90 watts of power and daisy chain up to 65 watts for a charging laptop. This is more than enough for most compact laptops. Owners of fully functional workstations need more and it is best to connect an additional charging source directly to the device.
The connectors on the back are built into a foot so that you can position the portable monitor at an angle between 0 and 90 degrees. According to MMD, the screen consumes an average of 4.4W in Eco mode. According to the EnergyStar test method, 6.2 watts was measured, which is still low. The screen weighs 1.03 kg.
The Philips 16B1P3302D is available immediately and has a suggested retail price of €279 (including VAT). There is a protective cover in the box for safe screen use on the go.
