According to Glovo's annual report, Moroccans will have a clear preference for Italian, American and Asian dishes in 2023. This report, titled “Glovo Delivery 2023”, provides insight into home delivery trends in Morocco and developments in consumption patterns throughout the year.
Casablanca stands out as the city with the highest number of applications out of the 48 Moroccan cities surveyed. With an amazing density of culinary establishments, approximately 8 restaurants or shops per square kilometre, Casablanca ranks first. Followed by Rabat, Marrakesh, Tangier and Agadir.

In 2023, burger, pizza and sushi orders have reached new heights, with an average of 13 burgers, 7 pizzas and 2 boxes of sushi delivered per minute across the Kingdom.
Although 80% of orders come from the catering industry, Glovo is seeing significant growth in the express trade segment, especially for deliveries from supermarkets and other stores. About a quarter of the platform's users purchased products ranging from electronics to beauty products.

The report also highlights seasonal consumption patterns. For example, an increase in orders was observed in the cities of the northern coast during the summer, which was characterized by holidays and the return of Moroccans residing abroad. The holy month of Ramadan also witnessed an increasing interest in traditional dishes.
