MusicSandy Potts (43), better known as Zandy, is determined to make a musical comeback. The singer behind Touch Of Joy and Song Festival One Life has released a brand new song and is ready to perform everywhere again. The last time Zande created her own music was in 2006, when she released a cover of the song “Conga”.
After at least 16 years, Xandee is back in the recording studio for her new single, Beautiful Again. “Collaborate with DJ Gene Pole, aka Diego from De Pitaboys,” Sandy tells us. “We’ve known each other for a long time and have been saying for a long time that we want to work together musically. Now it finally happened, and the result was ‘beautiful again’. It was great to record music again and it instantly reminded me of times past.”
The singer wants to spread a positive message with her new song. “The meaning of the word ‘beautiful again” is that life can return to beauty again, after all the troubles,” she says. “I have been through a lot and just had a new heart surgery. With this song I want to leave all my problems behind and come back.” In fact, Sandy has not had an easy period: in recent years she has had to deal with her mother’s death from cancer, various heart operations and procedures on her leg, the removal of two (benign) tumors in her womb and the cessation of love.
warmly welcomed
Meanwhile, Sandy has turned the page and is looking to the future with hope. Not only personally, but also musically. “Anyway, I plan to make a sequel to this song. It could be in a different style, as long as it’s danceable.” “I have already received a lot of feedback and people are telling me they are happy to hear my voice again. The song was also well received on Radio 2. So I am totally ready to be there again.”
