Wendy Verstrepen has been a loyal partner of Imagicasa for some time now. Today we take you back to a project of this interior architect, a duplex apartment on the seawall in Knokke. Ideal as a family home with due attention to natural materials and design pieces.
With at least 20 years of experience in new construction and extensive renovations, Interior Architect Wendy Verstrepen’s expertise is not limited to one style. She always creates unique designs that perfectly capture and connect the taste and personality of her client. Her latest project is a wonderful duplex apartment located in Knokke.
Radiate calm and let your thoughts go.
When you enter the house, you will immediately notice the wall of the cabinet with natural stone. It brings peace and quiet next to the parquet in oak wood. One floor upstairs, it has three bedrooms and is ideal for children’s rooms. There is also a bathroom and separate toilet. The loft is obscured by a large glass partition that gives an excellent view of the North Sea. This window section is extended down, which visually enlarges the space and perfectly draws attention to the view. Furthermore, the apartment on the ground floor has a sitting and dining area, a master bedroom, a dressing room, and a bathroom. The staircase and furniture fit in closely with the rest of the interior. According to Verstrepen, each had only one goal: to radiate calm and release your thoughts for a while. The in-house engineer has worked with well-known partners, Devos Interieur. The stove was installed by Roger van Dale of the well-known company METALFIRE. The beautiful wall of cabinets in the living room is by Natuursteen Verbaendert. The steel doors are also by Aerts & Van Hoof and the lighting is by MOON Lighting. Finally, the striking ceramic wall lamp in the entryway is by Emmanuelle Simon, a designer well known to us.
The apartment exudes calm, mainly due to the use of natural materials and the unity of finishes. Sandy musk limestone on the ground creates a warm, simple unity. Simple simplicity, that’s all this duplexer needs. Photography by Jarrow van Merten
