Neil Young gave Spotify a choice: Either the music streaming service would cut all ties with American podcaster Joe Rogan, or the singer would remove all of his music from the platform. According to Young, Rogan is spreading misinformation about vaccines.

“I want you guys to tell Spotify TODAY right away that I want all of my music from their platform. They can have Rogan or Young. Not both,” the singer wrote in a letter to his music company and management. “I do this because Spotify is spreading misinformation about vaccines, which could cause the death of those who believe the misinformation.”
270 scientists and medical professionals recently called on Spotify in an open letter to work on a policy against misinformation, after an episode of the podcast “Joe Rogan ExperienceThey say they are spreading “unfounded conspiracy theories” about the Corona pandemic. YouTube has already removed the relevant episode.
Rogan is especially popular in the United States, where he has an estimated listenership of 11 million.
