The film tells the story of mother Charlotte, who receives a newsletter from her old friend Jackie detailing the perfect life she lives. This is followed by a sarcastic response from Charlotte to visit her friend unannounced to find out if she is telling the truth. Her son takes this opinion a little too seriously and accidentally sends a GPS to Jackie’s family.
Then they get stuck at Jackie’s house due to a heavy snowstorm, so the two friends have to spend some time together. “Of course it happens… this is very predictable,” viewers write in the comments. The film then continues at Jackie’s house and ends in complete chaos. “Suddenly there are about a million subplots,” Christmas fans complain.
The film currently has a very poor rating with an average of 1.8 out of 5. Fans are openly expressing their displeasure on social media. “Are they intentionally making these Christmas movies bad or what?” asks someone on X, the former Twitter handle. “On a scale of 1 to 10, this new Netflix movie is the worst movie ever.”
