Fate continues to haunt the team that shoots Rust. After great actor Alec Baldwin fired a fatal shot from a pistol that shouldn’t have contained a bullet, a crew member is now bitten by a dangerous spider. Doctors are doing everything they can to save his arm.
Jason Miller, the lamp worker, was finishing the group when he was bitten by a brown recluse spider. Within days he developed severe symptoms. His arm began to swell and began to spasms. Miller was hospitalized and has already undergone several surgeries. “Everything is being done to save his arm. But amputation is still not excluded.”
Rust has been off since actor Alec Baldwin accidentally shot Halyna Hutchins while rehearsing a scene. Baldwin fired a pistol that contained a real bullet. The investigation of how this was possible continues.
In the weeks that followed, several crew members testified about the hazardous and amateur working conditions at the designated location
Lynne Looper, the film’s first assistant at Camera A for the film, said he quit the day before the fatal shooting because producers didn’t pay enough attention to safety on set. It seems that “everything has to move forward quickly”.
Rust is, by American standards, a low-budget movie with a total budget of just under $8 million.
