In 2017, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds last performed “Skeleton Tree” at a sold-out Sportpaleis. This resulted in ★★★★★ reviews in all media: “Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds in the Sportpaleis: So Beautiful, It Hurts.” (De Morgen) and “Two and a half hours later, the audience filed outside, all the weariness of the work week forgotten, purified in a bath of profound emotion.” (standard).
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds were founded in 1983 and have enjoyed increasing success ever since. Pointing out artistic landmarks is an impossible task. Live, The Bad Seeds became an increasingly tight group. A cast of character heads (Thomas Weidler, Martin P. Casey, Jim Sclavunos, George Festica, Larry Mullins and of course Lt. Warren Ellis) make Nick outdo himself every time.
Anyway, Nick Cave and his band Bad Seeds are looking forward to introducing their new album “Wild God” to the public: “I never thought about how the recording would be broadcast, it never occurred to me. The process of writing lyrics is too difficult to consider ideas like this. But, when I listen to “Wild God” now, I think we could really do something epic with these songs live. We're really excited about it – the record feels like it was made for the stageNick Cave said about the album.
