“I’m thinking about maybe making three or four more films,” he explains in Vanity Fair. “I think I have taken my filmmaking as far as I can. And now I want to be more stringent in the selection process. I want to say goodbye with a successful role,” confirms Cage.
Cage adds that his father died at the age of 75, and he concludes that he probably only had fifteen years to live. “What do I still want to achieve in those fifteen years, if I take my father as an example?” Father of the Three Wonders. “It has become clear to me that I want to spend this time with my family… I have begun to form my future plans more,” he concludes.
Nicolas Cage has already made countless films to his name, but the prolific actor did so for a while to pay off his debts. He previously revealed this in an interview with GQ magazine. He likened his career to a “conveyor belt,” but that was his job. After bad expenses, five divorces and a hole in his hand, his fortune evaporated. His purchasing behavior took on more bizarre forms, from 15 homes spread across the world to dinosaur eggs and a pet crow. Despite this, he eventually managed to pay off his debts, and now it seems he is considering saying goodbye to the set.
