Nissan also now joins the list of automakers that intend or appear to be launching a large electric MPV. This is the Nissan Hyper Tourer, a flashing preview of an electric MPV with sliding doors.
After the Hyper Urban and Hyper Adventure, the Nissan Hyper Tourer is the third in a series of concept cars that Nissan will put on the show floor at the Japan Mobility Expo later this month. In contrast to the previously introduced Hyper models, the Hyper Tourer is not a crossover or an SUV, but an electric MPV.
That the potential production version of the Hyper Tourer is not for everyone is evident from the way the intended customer group describes the car. The Hyper Tourer is aimed at “individuals who appreciate the finer things in life and enjoy the company of friends and colleagues, whether on a road trip or a business trip.” Absolutely excellent, if we’re to believe Nissan.
