Olly Alexander reveals his Eurovision favourite: ‘I think he’ll win’ | RTL Street

Olli Alexander has been impressed by the other entrants in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. On the British radio show “The Rebecca Judd Show”, the singer declared that it was a “strong year” featuring “a lot of really great artists.” Olly Alexander is participating this year on behalf of the United Kingdom with the song “Dizzy”.

“Sharing is enough for me.”

“I love the Spanish entrance, Nebulosa. And I love the Ukrainian girls, Alyona Alyona and Jerry Hill,” he says. The “Years & Years” singer, who is friends with Irish actor Bambie Thug, picked non-binary Swiss artist Nemo as the favorite to win. “I think this guy is going to win. It’s pretty cool.” Other participants he mentioned are Sylvester (Lithuania), Luna (Poland), and Musti from Belgium. “There are also a lot of great performances for the LGBTQ community, which is really great to see.”

Ole doesn’t see himself as a major contender, but he will put in a performance he can be proud of. “Participation is enough for me,” he explains. “Of course I want to do well and I especially want to make myself proud, but I also want to make Great Britain proud. But you never know what will happen.”

The UK, as one of the Big Five countries, does not have to qualify for the final through the semi-finals. Unlike previous years, the UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany and host nation Sweden will qualify for the semi-finals this year. With this decision, ESF gives all countries the opportunity to present their song to the public before the final match.
