OnePlus has announced when the manufacturer will start rolling out Android 14 and its OxygenOS 14 build. Early adopters can start using the latest version of Android starting September 25.
The manufacturer announced this via the official website OnePlus Forum. OnePlus has not announced which smartphone will receive the Android 14 update first, but it is clear that the OnePlus 11 will be the first. However, it is still unclear whether OnePlus will immediately roll out the stable version of Android 14 on September 25, or whether it will be an open beta.
The (closed) beta is currently available for the OnePlus 11. Additionally, the closed beta will also quickly roll out to the OnePlus 10 Pro. Android 14 comes with the OxygenOS 14 shell. This shell has many new features and brings the “Trinity Engine”. OnePlus says the following about the Trinity Engine:
“The Trinity Engine addresses industry-wide challenges in pursuit of more efficient power consumption, better multitasking capabilities, and a more sustainable, faster, and smoother experience. Under the hood are six innovative technologies, including CPU wake-up, RAM wake-up, ROM Activation, HyperBoost, HyperTouch and HyperRendering. Together, these technologies ensure a versatile, fast and smooth experience in scenarios such as multitasking, intense mobile gaming and extended use.
Once we know more about the Android 14 update rollout, we will share that with you in a new article.
