Film producer Emerson Collins shares private photos of a plane trip where she hears strange noises from the public speech system all the time. It’s about an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles (California) to Dallas (Texas) on September 6.

“It keeps making a sound somewhere between orgasm and vomiting,” he says while the male’s voice sounds moaning. His video shows the crew going through the seats to spot suspicious actions. The staff also shouts that they are looking for a solution to the “too annoying noise,” and a flight attendant tells Collins, “It’s probably a joke.”
The passenger suspects that someone has hacked the intercom, but American Airlines now says that such a thing is not possible because the system simply has no Wi-Fi and no external access. “Our maintenance team thoroughly checked the aircraft and the PA system and determined that the noise was caused by a mechanical issue with the PA loudspeaker,” spokeswoman Sarah Gantz said. “This increases the size of the PA system when the motors are running.”
In other words: in the video you do not hear a man’s moan, but an amplified mechanical sound. But the similarity is striking.
