Manchester City have easily distanced themselves from Aston Villa at home. Thanks to a brilliant brace from Foden and Rodri, the fourth goal sent the scoreline home at 4-1. Jeremy Doku also played his part, and Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland remained on the bench throughout the match. At Aston Villa, Youri Tielemans came on after the hour mark. Arsenal also didn't miss a beat tonight, as they won 2-0 over Luton Town.
Manchester City have not missed a beat in the exciting English title battle. With Kevin De Bruyne on the bench throughout the match, Aston Villa were easily moved away from fourth place in the table.
Jeremy Doku was allowed to start, and he was looking forward to it. The Red Devil started well and made it 1-0 to Rodri with a brilliant pass.
Aston Villa, with Youri Tielemans not allowed in until the hour mark, did not hesitate and scored well through John Doran. They seemed to have reached half-time tied until Foden's big display began. The midfielder fired a free kick through a poorly constructed wall into the goal.
In the second half the dominant man was gone. The city continues its momentum. After a brilliant move from Rodri, Foden was able to deepen the score, and a few minutes later the Englishman himself put the icing on the cake. He made it 4-1 with a wonderful shot into the box.
Winning keeps the man. City are on the heels of Arsenal, who easily defeated Luton Town earlier in the evening. Odegaard and a goal from Hashioka (formerly STVV) secured an easy 2-0 win. Liverpool are still in play tomorrow and could then take the lead again.
