There is no release date yet because the audio performance of the earbuds is still being modified, but the Philips Fidelio is no longer available only in headphone form, but also in the form of noise-canceling earbuds: the Philips Fidelio T1.
Hybrid Noise Cancellation
ear plugs Philips They are – just like the TVs – made by TP Vision. The company has large 10mm drivers for the earphones in mind that’s too big for the ears. Because earplugs that fit in your ear are made of a type of memory foam, they stay in place. In addition, it is equipped with a hybrid noise cancellation feature, so that it can effectively reduce the sound in the room around you.
The earbuds have a battery life of 9 hours with noise canceling on, plus another 25 hours with the charging case. Without noise cancellation, that’s 13 hours and 35 hours. The earbuds charge within two hours. There is a Philips Headphones app that you can use to further customize the sound to your needs.
Philips Fidelio T1
The design of the Fidelio T1 is modern, thanks in part to the brushed metal. What’s not superfluous is the Muirhead leather (which the manufacturer oddly describes as durable) on the earbuds’ charging case. Although this gives them a more luxurious look, it is not entirely clear what is really needed for this addition. Charging cases are usually kept in a bag and therefore not seen very often.
The earplugs are of “European” design and are somewhat eye-catching due to their size. Each earbud has a circle marked with Philips or Fidelio But unfortunately it’s not straight, so it can seem like the earphones are wrong in your ears. Because earplugs also have a somewhat “flutter” design, they resemble a piece of jewelry or an earring, according to Philips. As far as we’re concerned, it could have been a little smaller: it now looks like you quickly get caught up in hair or rubber mouth caps when wearing these earplugs.
Rich audio experience
While you might be wondering what design choices the TP Vision makes here, it probably makes for a great listening experience. Philips promises warm and natural mids, accurate and deep bass, and great detail in your audio experience. These earplugs should also be better at answering phone calls, because in situations where many earplugs often disappoint, the Philips Fidelio T1 has six microphones. Previous Philips Fidelios have already proven themselves to be very good at audio, so we don’t expect Fidelios to be inferior.
TP Vision hopes to launch the earbuds in December 2021 with a suggested retail price of €299.
