In fine weather and with an almost full market in Bruges, the days of Bavek Super began on Wednesday. Pommelien Thijs, singer and actress, has managed to set many fans on fire. It immediately illustrated the renewed momentum of this three-day event. There are also many more Bavik Super Days in the coming days.
With a good 2,000 tickets in advance, it already promised to be a successful evening at the Markt in Bruges. Hundreds of curious people have been added. Pavek’s Super Days can also count on the efforts of 130 volunteers. The reinforcements went as planned, and there was not long to camp before Pommelien Thijs performed at 7.30pm.
About two days ago, Ghent’s Korenmarkt was flooded by Pommelien Thijs during the Gentse Feesten, but things didn’t go that fast in Bruges. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed songs like “Sink or Do” and “Unusual”. After all, it was one of the two pay-per-view evenings at Bavik Super Days, the three-day event that was known as the Bruges Tripel Days until last year. The new sponsor and new booking office are clearly giving this event a new lease of life. And there are better artists this year. Radio Gugha with artiste Gugha Baul will also be popular on Wednesday night.
from all over the province
The weather forecast was good. Not like the evening before the Tour of Flanders, when the same organizers of the Initiative Committee had to cancel the free Soulsister concert at the Bruges market due to rain. It is also advisable to come to the event on foot or by bicycle on the following days. Although this is certainly not possible for everyone. “We have visitors from all over West Flanders and even beyond,” says Chairman Philippe de Kremer.
party music
With entrances along Wollestraat and Sint-Amandsstraat, the public knows exactly where it is. This is also important information for Thursday, the second payday of the festival. Then Mega Mindy kicks off at 6 p.m., followed by Cooking with Knopfler, a tribute band with music from Dire Straits. At eight o’clock in the evening comes the turn of Raymond van Het Groeneaud, who will play a home match in Bruges. They’ll close on Thursdays with Studio Banaal, a party band.
Seats 275 are already full, but tickets for standing spots on Thursdays are still available in advance. And on Friday, the national holiday, there is also a third day of celebration. This one is free. After that, Edje Ska & The Pilchards is usually at 6.30pm to start the evening. At 8.30pm, everyone can roar with the Vlaanderen Zingt. The organization asks that you not bring drinks or backpacks that are too large.
