During a speech from the White House on Tuesday, US President Joe Biden called on his citizens to get an urgent vaccination against Covid-19. He also accused unnamed television personalities and companies on social media of making money by spreading dangerous lies about the virus and vaccines.

The head of state said those vaccinated could “celebrate Christmas with peace of mind”. “If you are not fully vaccinated, you have good reason to be concerned,” Biden said.
Nearly everyone who has died of Covid-19 has not been vaccinated in the past several months.
He warned that “unvaccinated people are at greater risk of ending up in hospital or even dying.” “Everyone who has died of COVID-19 in the past several months has not been vaccinated,” the president added.
“All these people who have not been vaccinated: you have an obligation to yourself, to your family and, frankly – and I know I will be criticized for this – – to your country”; Bye Biden. “It is your patriotic duty.”
These companies and personalities make money by spreading lies and allowing misinformation that can kill their customers and supporters.
disinformation campaign
“Unvaccinated people are responsible for their choices,” Biden said, adding that those choices are fueled by dangerous misinformation on television and social media. Biden did not name the companies or television personalities, but the White House has repeatedly criticized Fox News and Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, two of the station’s hosts. In the past, Biden has criticized Facebook for allowing false messages about vaccines to be posted.
“These companies and personalities are making money by spreading lies and allowing misinformation that can kill their customers and their supporters,” Biden said. “This is wrong. It is unethical. I call on the publishers of these lies and disinformation to stop. Stop now,” the president said.
A politically motivated disinformation campaign plays a major role in the US population’s reluctance to receive vaccinations. One in four American adults is not vaccinated.
Boosterprik
The Democratic president said he and his Republican predecessor, Donald Trump, have already received a boost and that could be “one of the few things” the duo agree on.
We should not panic, we are no longer March 2020.
“Another thing people ask is, ‘Are we going back to March 2020?'” The answer is absolutely no. We shouldn’t panic, we’re not back in March 2020, Biden said.
“I know you’re tired…I know you’re disappointed. We all want this to end. But we’re still in it,” said the head of state.
The President stressed that his country is “ready” to fight the Omicron type of Corona virus. This variant was responsible for 73.2 percent of new infections in the United States in the past week.
