The Tre Valli Varesine, like other Italian fall races such as the Giro dell’Emilia, Tour of Lombardy and Gran Piemonte, is very old. The competition has already received one hundred copies. In the latest edition of Tre Valli Varesine we saw a leading group of ten in the opening hours. This includes Daryl Impey and Quentin Hermans. The Tre Valli Varesine route has a total length of 196.7 kilometers and contains 24 climbs with an elevation gain of approximately 3,500 metres. The one-day race traditionally starts on Tuesday in Busto Arsizio, the southernmost town of the province of Varese. From there the peloton runs in a straight line north, where the provincial capital, Varese, is located. After about forty kilometers, the riders reach the finish line for the first time. What follows is a 12.9 km local circuit that must be completed eight times.

This tour begins with a climb Montello (2 km at 5.2%, with peaks up to 10%) Which is followed by a descent in two parts. After this descent, the riders begin Climb Caspino (2.5 km, 4.9%). This takes the riders back to the finish line near Piazza Montegrappa. Once this circuit has been completed eight times, there are still over fifty kilometers to the finish line.
