PropertyPrince Charles, 72, has had several interviews in recent years with the man who was at the center of the alleged bribery scandal surrounding his charity. This is what the Sunday Times wrote based on its own research.
The Prince’s Foundation, Charles’ charitable foundation, has come under fire over allegations that it received large sums of money from wealthy businessmen in exchange for personal attention from the Prince on several occasions. For example, they received a royal decoration and a handwritten letter from the queen’s son.
Now it appears that Charles was in regular contact with the man who, according to various media outlets, was the go-between between the royal family and businessmen. In the past seven years, Prince and William Portrick have met at least nine times. Those meetings were held in England, Scotland and Saudi Arabia, according to The Times.
Several board members have already resigned after feeling the wind from the “practices of scammers” within the institution. Clarence House, the palace that handles the prince’s spokesman, said Charles had “no knowledge” of the practices and was investigating.
