Prince Harry appears to say in a new Netflix trailer that the British royals were willing to lie to protect his older brother William.
“They were happy to lie to protect my brother, and they never meant to tell the truth to protect us,” Prince Harry says in jest. Meghan Markle adds at one point, “I wasn’t thrown to the wolves, I was fed to the wolves.”
On Thursday, Netflix will stream the final three episodes of the documentary Harry and Megan From. The focus of the first three episodes of the highly anticipated series, which aired last week, was on how the couple were treated by the British tabloids and how this affected their relationship.
Institutional manipulation
No new attacks on the British royal family have been launched there, but in the new Netflix trailer, it looks like that will be the case for the remaining three episodes. Prince Harry also uses the phrase “institutional manipulation”.
It was not immediately clear who Harry’s attack was targeting, but it is believed they are older members of the royal family.
Harry also says, “I wonder what would have happened if we hadn’t left, like we did.” “Our safety has been compromised, and everyone in the world knows where we are,” Megan added. The final three episodes are expected to focus heavily on Harry and Meghan’s departure from the UK.
no reaction
Buckingham Palace said it would not comment on the series. Netflix claims that members of the royal family declined to comment on the series itself, but a spokesperson said that neither the palace nor representatives of Prince William or other members of the royal family have been contacted.
