Amalia Student Days are a private matter and are not often advertised. The court announced that Amalia will move to Amsterdam for her studies. According to the University of Amsterdam (UvA) academic calendar, the new academic year began on Monday 5 September. After that, she will take her first exams in the last week of October.
Several Dutch media also went to the Dutch university on Monday. Amalia finally showed up at around 5 pm. The Dutch princess wore a long white coat, and she also brought a school bag with her. In addition to a few journalists and photographers, some locals were also present. Upon her arrival, the 18-year-old princess said she was “hoping” for “a lot of studying”. She also said she is looking forward to the start of the year.

With her choice to go to Amsterdam, Amalia chose a different path from her father and grandmother. Willem-Alexander studied history in Leiden. His mother attended lectures at that university on subjects such as theoretical and applied sociology, legal sciences, economics, parliamentary history, and constitutional law. Beatrix’s mother Juliana also studied in Leiden.
