Ripple CEO reveals strategy for the next three years

In an interview with FOX Business, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse revealed the American blockchain company's ambitious plans for the next three years. These plans include launching its own stablecoin and expanding into international markets.

Growth outside the United States

Ripple has big plans for growth outside the United States. Garlinghouse shared in the interview that the blockchain company is largely used by international clients. 95% of all customers come from outside America. Ripple's CEO wants to continue this trend. This choice is not at all unexpected, as the company has faced a lot of resistance in the American market for a long time.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has long since sued Ripple, sending the price of XRP plummeting for years. According to Garlinghouse, the country is also lagging behind in terms of cryptocurrency-friendly regulations, as the CEO shared in the interview:

“We will continue to expand even though the US market, which we talked about earlier, partly from a regulatory perspective, has been slow to adopt, but the non-US market has been really strong for us. We will be the infrastructure around all of this. That is our goal and we believe the opportunity “We think this is going to be great for Ripple,” Garlinghouse said in an interview with FOX Business.

The CEO expects that the development of its dollar-backed stablecoin offers a lot of potential for Ripple. The choice to enter this market comes from tremendous growth. Garlinghouse notes that the current value of the stablecoin market is around $150 billion, but it is expected to grow to $2 trillion. This means growth of more than 1200%. Ripple wants to be part of this market.
