PropertyThe British Queen is not sure if she wants to invite Prince Harry (36) and Meghan Markle (40) to Christmas, according to informed sources. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be keen to return to London at the end of the year, but the royal family is skeptical.
Harry and Meghan would like to introduce their daughter Lillipet to her great-grandmother, the Queen, according to informed sources. She has never been to the UK since the girl was born, so she has never met any members of the royal family. Lillipet has not been baptized yet. Some members of the royal family believe this is why the Sussexes are keen to return to England: they hope to receive a royal baptism for their daughter. A controversial request that the Queen does not want to agree to immediately.
“Harry and Meghan have offered to visit over the holidays,” a palace staffer told The Mirror. But many were shocked by this bold proposal. Harry may be sorry and really want to see his grandmother, but after everything they’ve done to her over the past year, he’s expecting way too much. Elizabeth said the door would always be open for him and she meant it, but now she was beginning to doubt their good intentions. Prince William and Prince Charles are certainly not waiting for a sneak peek from Harry and his wife, given the uproar the British press could cause. Although of course they would like to see Lilibet. Everything is very double. ”
Last year, the Sussex family were not present at the Royal Christmas Party due to the Corona crisis. Then they celebrated Christmas with Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mother. The year before, in 2019, they celebrated Christmas in Canada, considering it the year of Megxit.
