Aalsmeer – KC De Ruimte in Kudelstaart has responded to the SAM Foundation’s call to craft something for seniors for Valentine’s Day. The whole school has been running for the last week. And on Valentine’s Day February 14, there was a treat. The children of KC De Ruimte gave a gift to the residents of Nobelhof on this day. All children in groups 3 to 8 wrote and/or signed character cards. This was brought to the residents with a beautiful flower and tea bag from Thee & Card. Both residents and students reacted with great enthusiasm. This Valentine’s Day promotion has worked and is definitely worth repeating! The SAM Foundation initiative will also continue. Students and teachers at De Ruimte will continue to look at what they can also do for the people in the neighborhood around the school.
Cards, poems and drawings
A number of groups from Jozefschool also took part in the SAM Foundation’s appeal. Valentine’s Day cards, poems, and drawings were done last week. The roses with the cards were then brought to care centers in Aalsmeer on February 14 by volunteers from the SAM Foundation. The SAM Foundation is pleased with the schools’ contributions: “Together we have been able to support seniors at this time. Thank you!”
