Director and actor Sean Penn traveled to Ukraine this week to continue filming his documentary on the Russian invasion.
Sean Penn is currently in Ukraine documenting the Russian invasion, advised Vice Studios variety has been confirmed. The actor arrived in the capital Kiev this week to cover the conflict, and has already met with many journalists, residents and military personnel and attended many press events. There, he also met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshuk. The President’s Office shared the praise for Ben on Facebook.

“Sean Penn shows courage that many others, especially Western politicians, cannot muster,” the president’s office wrote. They talked about Russia’s invasion of our country,” apparently.
Ben was in Ukraine earlier in November to work on his project, which is being produced by Vice Studios. Then he visited, among other things, the front lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Donetsk.
The Academy Award winner has been involved in numerous international humanitarian and anti-war efforts over the years. He founded the non-profit disaster relief organization Core after the 2010 Haiti earthquake, which was featured in the documentary Citizen Ben.
