For Nice, the World Cup race at Waterloo was his second circuit cross of the season, having crowned himself European road champion last month. There was an immediate fear of a broken collarbone, which was confirmed by x-rays at the hospital. Ness himself posted a photo of the breakup on his Instagram and showed himself fighting back. I’ll come back, he added. The promising rider now travels to Belgium to undergo surgery at AZ Herentals Hospital. It is unknown at this time how long he will be out of action.

An x-ray carried out at the hospital unfortunately revealed a fracture of Thebau Ness’ left clavicle after a crash on the second lap of Tweet embed.

Thibaut will be brought back to Belgium and will undergo surgery on Dr. Toon Claes at AZ Herentals.
