Nekirk Sigma is organizing a Parkinson’s lecture for patients and informal carers on Wednesday evening 11 October. “Parkinson’s disease is a brain disorder. It is one of the fastest growing diseases in the world. It affects young and old. The number of people with Parkinson’s disease will increase in the coming years. It is a complex disease. This is because the complaints become worse over time. This can be very difficult On the person himself and on those he loves.”
On the evening of Wednesday 11 October, between 7:00pm and 9:00pm, Sigma invited a guest speaker on this topic to the Nijkerk Library. The lecture will be delivered by Mirko Tigelaar, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease after more than ten years of research. Since then, he has tried to learn as much as he can about this disease. In 2021-2022, he wrote a book about it and founded a foundation.
